We Have Arrived!

YAY! After our 49-hour journey, we are all happy, healthy and in Kitwe,Zambia. We arrived in the Ndola airport around noon and after collecting our bags, drove into Kitwe. Upon arriving Pastor Edward and his wife, Barbara had prepared a delicious meal of fried chicken, vegatables, and nshima (the staple starch of Africa...much like thick cream of wheat). The rest of our day will be spent resting up and preparing for tomorrow's tour of all the ministries supported by Church on the Rock, our sister church here in Zambia.

They are all so glad to have us all here. They send Solid Rock and all its pastors their warmest love and thanks for sending all of us.

We are all so thankful for your prayers thus far and for the covering that they have been for us. Please continue to pray for us as we settle in and arrange our living situations as well as organize our schedule for the upcoming couple of weeks. Also, as we are all a bit weary from the travels, prayers for a quick recovery so we are able to start our time of serving refreshed and ready. God Bless!

Yeah

You made it. Glad to hear that you are there. What a long trip. So much to do and so little time. You are all in our prayers. Thanks for keeping us up to date.

So glad to hear y'all made it! (Im allowed to say y'all because im in the south). I am praying you are all rested up and ready to serve with your fullest strength over the next couple weeks. I am confident God is going to use all of you in beautiful ways.

Ben, I am praying for you as you lead this team. May God grant you wisdom of the simplest and truest form. As we read today in the first chapter of Corinthians, the only true wisdom you need is the message of Christ crucified. Cling to the simplicity of the Gospel of our Lord, because that is true wisdom and strength. I am so proud of you. Know that I am on my knees in prayer for you every morning and night and throughout the day i am lifting you up. I love you and miss you and can't wait to hear from you!

God Bless all of you guys! Wish I could be there with you!

In Him,
Amanda Carter

I'm sure you are glad to finally be on the ground again after all that flying. We can't wait to follow the saga of the Africa team now. Thanks to everyone contributing to the blog. We will be praying that God will allow you to transition into Africa "mode." Jesus loves the little children, ALL the children of the world. We know that you will share God's love to those you touch. Oh yeah, a little Solid Rock factoid...while you were in transit, there were 40 people baptized Sunday. PTL!

We love you!
